This policy explains what personal data Shared Finance collects, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It's written for the Shared Finance iOS app and the Supabase-hosted backend it talks to.

We only collect what the app actually needs to work. Nothing is sold, and we do not use your data for advertising.

We do not collect location, contacts, health data, browsing history, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Shared Finance is a couples/household tool, so by design your data is shared with the other members of any space you belong to:
We share data only with the processors we need to run the service. We do not sell or rent your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Each processor is contractually required to use your data only to provide the service. Supabase acts as a data processor for us under GDPR; we act as the controller.
Your account and financial data are stored in Supabase's eu-west-2 (London) region. Some processors may process technical data outside the UK / EEA. Transfers outside the UK / EEA rely on the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or the equivalent adequacy mechanism at the time of transfer).

We do not process any special-category (Article 9) data.
auth.users row is removed immediately, which cascades to your profile, preferences, chat messages, memberships, and any household where you were the only member. Shared expenses in households with other members remain visible to those members, but your identifying details are unlinked.Under UK / EU GDPR you have the right to:

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant regulator without undue delay if we discover a personal-data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights.
Shared Finance is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, email ajayidipo@ymail.com and we'll delete it.
Shared Finance is a tracking-only app. It records who paid what and shows the running balance between you and your partner. It does not:
Any settlement between household members happens outside the app.
If we make material changes we'll tell you in-app before they take effect and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Shared Finance after the change means you accept the updated policy.
